It’s Dinovember, and the dinosaurs are coming out to play, make messes, and have a good time – inspired by Refe and Susan Tuma’s What the Dinosaurs Did Last Night. (The photo at the bottom of the page is one of their amazing Dinovember scenes, and you can find it – and lots of others – at their website.)

Have some toy dinosaurs at home?  Email a photo of the mischief they can get into while everyone’s asleep, and the most creative entry will win a piece of dinosaur coprolite. (Psst – don’t know what coprolite is?  You should definitely look it up!)  Don’t have any toy dinos? Draw a few, cut them out, and pose them in crazy scenes.

The first 15 entries will receive a super cool “fossil card” with eight different fossils (including a bit of dinosaur bone).  There are only a few left, though, so you’d better hurry!  Entries are due by November 24.

Don’t forget to stop by the library all month long to grab some dino coloring pages and check out the fun dinosaur books & movies on display.  (And come check out that piece of coprolite, too!)  If you’re looking for a bit of inspiration, head over to the Dinovember website at www.dinovember.com.  Then, email your own entry to sharonbaxterlibrary@gmail.com.
