Programs & Events

Hopefully, we’ll be able to open again very soon, but until then, please see our RESOURCE CENTER for engaging activities and projects for all ages.

The Baxter Cafe – Wednesdays 9-11 AM

Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and a yummy sweet treat, all for free (donations always welcome)!  The Baxter Cafe is a place to gather with neighbors and friends, read the paper, write, knit, let the kids play with Legos, or just do your own thing while you settle in with a good book and a cup of mint tea or Hazelnut coffee!

Community Board Gaming at Baxter – Every 2nd and 4th Thursday 4-7 PM

Join us for an afternoon of cooperation and competition, of intrigue, betrayals and shrewd tactics.  Bring your own game, or learn a new one from our game instructor, Ron! Board games are entering a golden age. These days, it’s more than just Sorry and Monopoly.  Come see for yourself!  Open to adults and teens age 15 and up.

Short Story Club – Ongoing

No time for a book club?  We’ve got you covered!  Come try Baxter’s new Short Story Club.  No novels.  No meetings.  Just great short stories.

The Mothers Circle – Every 2nd and 4th Sunday 11 AM-  1 PM

Hosted by Jessa Kimball, a certified birth and postpartum doula and advanced newborn care specialist. The Mothers Circle helps new mothers find their village: postpartum support, mom friends, and baby playtime for ages 0-1 year (older kids welcome to tag along).
