Dear friends of the library,
With funds from an Energy Efficiency & Community Block Grant (EECBG) from the U.S. Department of Energy, the Two Rivers-Ottauquechee Regional Commission funded an energy audit of the Baxter Library in December 2012. The audit was performed by Jon Haehnel of Zero by Degrees, and the resulting report, complete with photographs and recommendations for implementation, is available at the library or by clicking on the link below. The report is very thorough; the recommended actions include estimates of energy and cost savings, as well as the ‘payback period’ on investment.
Jon plans to present his findings to the public at the Lighthouse Café on January 10th at 7 PM in the Sharon Congregational Church. We invite you to attend the presentation and ask any questions regarding the report then. If you are unable to attend the presentation, but have questions about his report, please feel free to contact Jon at firstname.lastname@example.org or 802-522-9713.
It is our hope that this report will serve as the catalyst for making efficiency upgrades to your public library, ultimately saving energy, as well as money for the Town of Sharon.
Happy New Year!
